So for my digital artefact I decided to create a skateboarding instagram page. Over the last few years of me using instagram I have seen a lot of skate videos and a lot of content on instagram. A big problem I have found in the skate community on instagram is that a lot of skate companies and brands post most of their content to suit there brands and the content is very curated and suited to what they feel is appropriate. This is why I am going to be focusing on posting skaters I feel a lot of talent and have been neglected and not acknowledged by the general skate community.
My aim for this project is to try a reach a larger audience and try and bring in not only skaters but people that don’t skate to view my content and make them think that skateboarding is a great activity. By doing this I feel as though I am giving back to the skateboarding community which I feel is a necessary thing for me do to as it has provided me with so much positivity in my life.
